Thank you for your interest in our new options. Our new liability reduction products offer even greater flexibility by allowing you to tailor the policy deductible to your needs. Choose from our three different options and get the cover that’s right for you.

What’s different about our new liability reduction products?

From now on, you can choose between three different forms of liability reduction cover, thus allowing you to select the deductible that suits you best. It means you can adjust your cover and save even more. The existing liability reduction product with its deductible of CHF 800 is now called liability reduction M and has a deductible reduced to CHF 250. With this option, you can save even more yet still be optimally covered - now even without a young drivers' surcharge.

What stays the same? The term of your current liability reduction cover and your notice of termination. However, if you change your mind, you can alter this at any time in the customer portal. If you reactivate your liability reduction cover, you’ll benefit from a lower deductible of CHF 250 costing CHF 194 per year. For peace of mind behind the wheel.

General questions

When do the new conditions apply?

The new conditions apply with immediate effect.

I have liability reduction (as a mobilityMEMBER) but my mobilityCO-MEMBER does not: does my liability reduction apply when this person drives on my reservation?

Liability reduction cover is personal and non-transferable. If someone from a rental access group drives without having liability reduction cover, then the policy deductible applies in full in the event of a claim.

Is the deductible for a van higher, even if I have liability reduction cover?

If you have liability reduction cover, the deductible for all categories drops to the same amount.

I currently have liability reduction cover. What are my policy deductibles now?

We’re introducing a free upgrade to the Liability Reduction M product with a deductible of CHF 250 (instead of CHF 300).

Is the term of my existing liability reduction cover changing?

No. The term of any existing liability reduction cover remains the same: on expiry, it automatically switches to the liability reduction M product for a further year at the new price.

How can I switch to the higher or lower policy deductible?

You can do so in the customer portal when your existing cover expires. You can find the switching options in your e-mail. If you don’t currently have liability reduction, this can be resolved during the vehicle reservation process via the app or customer portal.

I’ve taken out separate third-party insurance. Do I still need liability reduction cover through Mobility?

Various insurers have now brought products onto the market which cover you when driving other people’s vehicles. Many of them exclude rental cars or commercial car sharing vehicles from the cover. We advise you to check with your insurance company to find out if they cover damage to a Mobility vehicle.

Are there any processing fees and if so, what are they?

Each claim processed incurs a processing fee of CHF 100.
