Shorter’s becoming cheaper.drive rates from 6 December 2017.

Simple and transparent: Mobility’s combining its vehicle category rates to make them clearer.

Hourly rates are dropping by up to CHF 0.80 per hour (excluding Cabrio and Emotion). A VW Up!, for instance, will now cost you just CHF 2 per hour. On the other hand, the kilometre rates are rising very slightly, and we’re doing away with the night rates and kilometre-based pricing levels. If hiring by the day, you’re therefore better off obtaining an economy package. The rates for our business customers are going to match those of our private customers, plus VAT.

Car Rental with Europcar and Hertz

Many Mobility customers opt for regular vehicle rental when they need a commercial or specialised vehicle or, in particular, a long-term hire of 30 days or more. A smart decision: Europcar and Hertz offer special terms in Switzerland and abroad.

Business rates

The rates for our business customers are going to match those of our private customers (excluding VAT). Short-term rentals and rentals of the smallest categories will remain good value for money as at present or are even coming down in price. On the other hand, longer-term rentals will rise in price. You can help mitigate the effect by combining your Mobility rentals with public transport.

Frequently asked questions

Will journeys reserved in advance reflect the new rates if the reservation is on or starts on 6 December?

Yes, all journeys from 6 December 2017 will be billed according to the new rates, regardless of when the reservation was made.

Why are you no longer offering the night rate?

Experience has shown that we have not been able to increase usage at night via the price. An additional factor is that we often have no-shows due to the low rates. It therefore makes sense to treat daytime and night-time usage equally; it’s also fairer.

Why will there no longer be a kilometre reduction from kilometre 100?

Shorter journeys will cost less, while longer journeys will cost more. This reflects the usage behaviour of most of our Mobility customers: they use Mobility vehicles for short periods. On balance, many customers will benefit from the changes we’re introducing. Moreover, private customers will now have the chance to obtain economy packages.
