Sharing is caring.

You have chosen Cristina as the lucky winner of Watson’s Mobility Challenge! Now, in return, she has made good on her promise to you and has delivered a carload of food and tampons to the homeless. Sharing is caring – but the story goes on ...

Here’s the whole story in condensed form: lucky Cristina entered Watson’s Mobility Challenge. Her offer: if she were to win the great prize – a one-year subscription to Mobility including CHF 1,000 in drive credit and the opportunity to design the exterior of a Mobility car – she would distribute a carload of food and tampons to the homeless. With her great offer and her whirlwind personality, she conquered the hearts and votes of the watson community.

We now fast forward and skip the last two months. It’s a Saturday in early December: kind Cristina has diligently done her collecting, filled the Mobility car with all the food and hygiene articles as promised and drives to Gassencafé Sunestube run by the charity organisation Sozialwerke Pfarrer Sieber, situated on Langstrasse in Zurich. Here she hands over her collection and learns a lot about the homeless and what they’ve experienced, and they also tell her about what really helps them. Curious to find out more? See Insta for the full story and fascinating information – or watch the video of the distribution campaign! It’ll really touch you.

Mobility – all those involved were tested negative for covid-19

This is how you can help the charity work done by Pastor Sieber

Pastor Ernst Sieber and his relief organisation gained a reputation in particular for the Pfuusbus – the mobile emergency shelter near the Albisgüetli in Zurich. Up until his death in 2018, he worked tirelessly to help the homeless. Today, the organisation consists of more than 10 institutions that serve people in need. One of them is Gassencafé Sunestube on Langstrasse. The famous Pfuusbus continues to provide warmth and shelter for the homeless every winter, too. In addition to its professional employees, the foundation relies on people who work on a voluntary basis at the emergency shelters, for example. Donations in the form of food, hygiene products, clothes, furniture and of course money are also very welcome. Check out the website to find out the best way to help.

We should all take a leaf out of Cristina’s book!

Like so many Mobility users, Cristina has her heart in the right place. For the sake of the environment, she and her husband don’t have a car of their own; whenever they do need one, they now simply rent one from Mobility.

« I have great sympathy for people who live in difficult situations, as it can happen to anyone. Since the competition took place in autumn, the idea of helping homeless people occurred to me right away. »

Besides climate protection, social solidarity is the second important issue for Cristina. “I have great sympathy for people who live in difficult situations, as it can happen to anyone. Since the competition took place in autumn, the idea of helping homeless people occurred to me right away – in particular since winter is approaching, I’m glad to be able to help make them feel happier,” she says.

You too can protect the climate and show solidarity!

Feel inspired by Cristina? That doesn’t surprise us one bit! If you want to get socially involved, a Mobility car is perfect for a distribution campaign like Cristina’s. Or you can use it for Christmas shopping, a skiing trip, your next move. 3.

Sharing is caring – and it means cash savings, too

Because sharing is simply a good thing, you might want to recommend car sharing to your friends or even your employer. If they switch to Mobility, we give you up to CHF 75 in drive credits.

And to finish off the story, there’s a PS.. As the winner, Cristina got the chance to design this beautiful Mobility car together with Bernese artist Gigga Hug. It will now be on the roads in Switzerland for a year as a member of the Mobility fleet. If you’d like to drive it, you’ll find details of the car and the stations at which it is located here. And if you happen to see it, remember Cristina and that sharing is caring. Bye for now, see you soon ...
